Inspired by my beading projects, I decided to pick up my needle. For my project, I picked a kit by Leasure Arts that I bought on clearance. It is not too complicated, and I thought it would be fun.
I did not expect to see my daughter’s reaction when she returned from school. She was so interested in this project that she wanted to do it herself. So, this day turned into me showing my daughter how to embroider. I would guide her, poking the needle through the hole in the Aida cloth, and then she would pull the thread through up or down. I admit I was a bit nervous and thinking, is she too young…..but it worked out great. The most rewarding moment was when I told her that if she enjoys this, we can do an infinite number of projects. My daughter’s eyes lit up in amazement. It is a great time to realize that you and your daughter have the same passion.
I made several videos about this on my YouTube Channel. You can start with this video.
